In Paris

In Paris, where the City for the Cultures of Peace was “born,” emerging out of a series of international conferences on forms and dynamics of exclusion held at the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme and the UNESCO in 1995 and 1997, the international research network establishes a new center of activities in cooperation with the Collège d’Études Mondiales of the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme as well as with its Maison Suger. Activities will include long-term interdisciplinary research projects, annual international educational programs such as “Global Justice?”, and annual research and training programs in cooperation with both European and North American universities. In addition, the Cité develops new and innovative research programs in cooperation with the Collège d’Études Mondiales, directed by Michel Wieviorka, EHESS-Research Director in Sociology and Administrative Director of the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme.
