INITIATIVES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH AT RISK

Activities within this focus are devoted primarily to helping children in need, in particular to teaching children in need and teaching the teachers different ways of educating kids who are often hard to reach.

CURRENT THEMES, RESEARCH PROJECTS, AND TRAINING PROGRAMS:

RESEARCH ON ADOPTION POLICIES. DIRECTOR: NINA SCRIBANU.

Long-term project in cooperation with Georgetown Medical School, and the School of Medicine in Bucharest, Roumania, the Fulbright Commission, and several non-profit organizations.

STUDENTS TEACHING STREET CHILDREN. Project to be realized in cooperation with the PROJETO UERÊ (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) founded by YVONNE BEZERRA DE MELLO, UNESCO-laureate.
