The International Interdisciplinary Institute (III, called the tripple I) comprises all scientific activities and programs conceptualized, organized, and/or implemented by the Honorary Members of the City for the Cultures of Peace. Similar to the City for the Cultures of Peace, its International Interdisciplinary Institute is conceptualized and organized as a research network with coordination and activity nodes in different countries. It cooperates world-wide with partners as well as other academic institutions, foundations, and organizations.

For more information about the III, its partners, and other cooperating institutions, see:
Hubs & Partners
For information about focal areas of III research, see:
Main Objectives

The starting point of III-activities were international and interdisciplinary conferences, such as: Patterns of Exclusion: An International Conference, held at the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme and at the University of Paris 7-Denis Diderot in 1995; and the international symposium, Forms and Dynamics of Exclusion in Contemporary Societies, held at UNESCO, at the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme, and at the University of Paris 7-Denis Diderot, Paris, France, in 1997. In the subsequent years, III organized events and programs in many different countries. For more information, see: Activities: Chronology
