The City for the Cultures of Peace and its Institute cooperate world-wide with their network of Honorary Members and their institutions, such as the W. E. B. Du Bois Institute for African and African-American Research at Harvard University (Cambridge, USA), the University of Paris 7-Denis Diderot (Paris, France), the Faculty of Theology in Lugano, the German Parliamentarian Association in Berlin (Germany), the Moses Mendelssohn Institute for European-Jewish Studies at Potsdam University (Germany), and Pro Europa: European Cultural Foundation (Basel, Switzerland/Freiburg, Germany).
In the organization of past events, in particular of the Forums for the Cultures of Peace and other major events, III has also cooperated with non-affiliated universities, foundations, and organizations, including UNESCO (Paris) in Buenos Aires, the Humboldt-University in Berlin, the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt an der Oder, and the City Council of Frankfurt am Main (Germany), the University of Vienna (Austria), the City Council of Lucerne (Switzerland), the University of Italian Switzerland in Lugano, and the Department of Education, Culture, and Sport of the Canton and Republic of Ticino in Bellinzona, Switzerland.
From December 2009 to December 2012, the City for the Cultures of Peace organized a series of academic and cultural activities in Lugano (Switzerland). See: Activities in Lugano.
